Oakland based Little Queenie got their name from a Chuck Berry song. Not surprisingly,
they don’t sound too much like Chuck Berry. But Calling Little Queenie the closest
living relative of Crushed Butler wouldn’t be too far off the mark. Little Queenie is Mean
Gene Bae, Mark 'icki' Murrmann, OSCR, and Tony B (Joe Haner).
Based on their music video of “Our Sidewalk Ends”, this Oakland based indie rock band
doesn’t appear to take themselves too seriously. But often it’s the ones who don’t seem
serious that make the best music. Their sound is a blend of Talking Heads, The Fall and Clap Your
Hands Say Yeah and we look forward to finding out more about these guys.
